Recycling of cathode ray tubes from TVs and computer monitors

Computer monitors in stillages awaiting recovery of cathode ray tubes for recycling

In 2009, Sims Recycling Solutions made a major investment in specialist UK facilities and plant to recover and recycle the hazardous substances and material commodities from cathode ray tubes (CRTs) found in televisions and computer monitors.

These advanced facilities enable the glass in monitor and TV screens to be recycled in the manufacture of new televisions and monitors in a closed loop solution.

Other materials such as ferrous metals and non ferrous metals are recovered for recycling too.

Companies and organisations can either deliver their end of life televisions and computer monitors to their nearest Sims Recycling Solutions recycling centre or Sims Metal Management recycling yard or for larger quantities, enquire about our extensive logistics services.

CRTs are recycled at our newly developed recycling centre in Ellesmere Port, Merseyside.
