This 4 minute video, created by Microsoft, examines the importance of data security for businesses and organisations opting for re-use of their end of life computer and IT equipment. The Disposal Services Authority, charged with disposing of the UK's Ministry of Defence IT assets, are interviewed about their criteria for data removal, using Sims Recycling Solutions as an example of good practice.

The second half of the video focuses on how the Community Microsoft Authorised Refurbisher programme is facilitating computer re-use. The Leonard Cheshire Workability Programme is evaluated, having placed refurbished computers into the hands of over 6,500 disabled people. Click on 'cc' to view subtitles.
