Sims Recycling Solutions uses Blancco® Data Cleaner, the world’s leading secure data destruction tool. It is so integral to our operations that it is embedded within WebView, our asset tracking and management system.
Blancco® is accredited to HMG IA Standard No. 5 - Secure Sanitisation of Protectively Marked or Sensitive Information, Issue 3.1, October 2009. Blancco® erases data on hard disk drives to the higher and lower available standard and specification globally. Blancco® also captures the specification of each CPU based asset (where possible) and writes this data directly to WebView over a secure XML transmission.
As part of the data wiping process, WebView captures, at the point of destruction, a profile of a laptop, PC or server, including a list of software applications installed. This means that we can also offer software asset management services to you so that you can ratify software destruction against your software license register. Non compliance with software licensing can be costly for businesses and organisations.
